In some deployment scenarios, you must know the locale identifier (LCID) for a language in order to install the correct MUI Pack. Microsoft® Office 2003 Multilingual User Interface Packs (MUI Packs) are installed on the administrative installation point under folder names by their corresponding locale identifier.

For example, when you include MUI Packs as part of an Office deployment, you specify the Mui.msi file in the LCID folder for a language — such as \1031\Mui.msi for the German MUI Pack MSI file.

The following table lists Office 2003 MUI Pack languages and corresponding locale identifiers.

 Note    For some languages, the MUI Pack may consist of only proofing tools if a complete MUI is not available (in the case of Urdu, for example).

* Microsoft Office Project 2003 is available in these languages only.

 Note    Both Microsoft Office Visio® 2003 Professional and Microsoft Office Visio 2003 Standard offer MUI Packs for a subset of these languages. Additional languages may be added later.
