By using Microsoft PowerPoint® 2000, you can broadcast PowerPoint presentations with streaming audio and video in real time to network viewers. But if your audience includes more than 15 viewers, you must use Microsoft Windows® Media Technologies with the Online Broadcasting Service to broadcast the show.
Toolbox The Office Resource Kit includes the executable file that you need to set up the Online Broadcasting Service with Windows Media Technologies (OnlBroad.exe). See the Online Broadcasting Service section of the Toolbox and download the OnlBroad.exe file. You can find this downloadable file on the Office 2000 Resource Kit Downloads page.
Windows Media Technologies (formerly Microsoft NetShow) provides streaming media services that run on Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 with Service Pack 3 or later and on Windows 2000. Windows Media allows you to distribute streaming audio and video content to client computers that are running Windows Media Player.
To use the Presentation Broadcasting feature with Windows Media Services, you must install and configure the Online Broadcasting Service on your Windows Media server. After you have installed the Online Broadcasting Service, you can configure the Windows Media server, and set up your broadcasts.
