An updated version of the HTML filter for Microsoft Office 2000 is now available. An error in the existing HTML filter sometimes causes Microsoft Office Index Server to stop responding when indexing data access pages. This update fixes the error and allows you to filter the pages correctly.

Toolbox   The Office Resource Kit includes the updated Index Server HTML filter. See the Index Server HTML filter section of the Toolbox and download the NLHTML.exe file. You can find this downloadable file on the Office 2000 Resource Kit Downloads page.

After you download and install the new HTML filter, any filters you apply to the data access pages work correctly. However, to refresh programs that use the previous version of the HTML filter, you must restart your computer.

You can remove the new filter by clicking the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel. However, files that are updated by the new version of the filter are not removed or restored when you remove NLHTML.dll.
