The Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions Resource Kit is a guide to installing and administering the FrontPage server extensions on a Web server. It contains an overview of the server extensions, a detailed discussion of server extensions security on Windows and UNIX platforms, a guide to server extensions installation, and descriptions of all server extensions administrative tools and techniques. The Server Extensions Resource Kit has a set of appendixes, including complete descriptions of server extensions configuration files and registry settings.

Installing the Server Extensions Resource Kit

The Server Extensions Resource Kit must be installed separately from the other utilities—it is not installed by the Office Resource Kit Setup program. To install the Server Extensions Resource Kit, copy the FPSERK folder from \PFiles\ORKTools\ on the Office Resource Kit CD-ROM to your computer. In the FPSERK folder, double-click the file Default.htm to open the Server Extensions Resource Kit.

To distribute the kit for others to install, you need to deploy all of the files in the folder from a network installation point. The Server Extensions Resource Kit (SERK) is also available on the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions Resource Kit Web site.
