Before You Upgrade to Office 2000
You can upgrade to Microsoft Office 2000 from the following applications:
- Office 98 (Macintosh®)
- Office 95 and Office 97 (Microsoft Windows®)
- Office 4.x (Windows and Macintosh)
- WordPerfect, Lotus 1-2-3, Harvard Graphics, and dBASE (Windows)
Before you start the conversion process, you must:
- Determine which files you want to move to Office 2000, and then use a virus scanning program to scan the files for viruses.
- Unbind all binder documents into component sections — if you have any.
- Create backup copies of the files you want to convert.
- Install the Office 2000 applications you want to deploy; follow the instructions in Basic Installation Methods.
