Create an Outlook appointment in OneNote

You can create a Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 appointment from within Microsoft Office OneNote 2003, even when Outlook is closed. The appointment will be added to the Outlook calendar the next time you open Outlook. If you set a reminder to occur before you open Outlook again, you will not be prompted at the time that the reminder is scheduled to appear.

Note  The feature or functionality described in this topic is available only if you have installed Microsoft Office OneNote 2003 Service Pack 1. To learn more about the service pack and how to download it, see Service pack features in OneNote 2003.

  1. If you want to include text from your notes in the body of the Outlook appointment, select the text.

    ShowTip

To include the entire contents of a note container in the body of the Outlook appointment, place the insertion point in the note container.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Create Outlook Item, and then click Create Outlook Appointment.

  3. In the Outlook Appointment window, enter the information you want, and then click Save and Close on the Standard toolbar.
