Do one of the following:
Start a shared note-taking session
- On the Tools menu, point to Shared Session, and then click Start Shared Session.
The Start Shared Session task pane opens.
- To assign a password that participants must provide to join the shared session, type one in the Session password box in the Start Shared Session task pane.
Note Use strong passwords that combine upper- and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Weak passwords don't mix these elements. Strong password: Y6dh!et5. Weak password: House27. Use a strong password that you can remember so that you don't have to write it down.
- To select the pages you want to share, hold down CTRL or SHIFT, and then click the page tabs of the pages that you want to add. Hold down SHIFT to select the page tabs for a range of pages, and hold down CTRL to select the tabs individually.
- Click Start Shared Session.
- In the Current Shared Session task pane, set the options you want.
End a shared note-taking session
If you are the session host and you leave the shared note-taking session, a new session host will be selected automatically, as long as there are one or more remaining participants. However, if you are the session host and you are presenting your notes— allowing participants to view, but not modify, your notes— all other participants will be removed from the session when you leave.
In the Current Shared Session task pane, click Leave Shared Session.
Note Closing the Current Shared Session task pane will not end the session.
