OneNote does not recognize my camera.
Check to make sure the following items are true:
The camera drivers must be installed. Use the drivers that were included with your camera, or you can try finding the drivers on the Web site of the camera manufacturer.
Microsoft DirectX 9.0a or later and Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series or later must be installed. To install either of these components, visit the Microsoft Web site.
The camera must be connected properly.
If you've checked the previous items, but you are still unable to record video, try another option under Device or Profile in the Audio and Video category of the Options dialog box.
The camera is not recording as expected.
You might need to adjust your camera, microphone, or speakers. In the Audio and Video category of the Options dialog box, click Tuning Wizard.
Note If you need help setting up your hardware, click Help and Support on the Microsoft Windows Start menu, and then, in the Help and Support Center window, type Microphone in the search box.
I can't separate audio from video.
When you click Record Video, OneNote creates a combined audio and video file (.wmv). You cannot separate the audio from the video. For example, you cannot share only the video or only the sound from a video that you created by clicking Record Video.
Note You must connect a microphone to the computer or have a microphone available as part of the camera to record audio and video together.
When I play video from a shared section, I get an error.
If your video file is located in a section stored on a shared folder on your network or the Internet, you are unable to play the video file while another OneNote user is playing it. You can try to play the video later, or you can contact the other users of the shared section.
My computer seems to respond slowly when I record video.
If your computer seems slow to respond while you are recording video— for example, if typed characters are slow to render on the screen— the video compression process may be using a large amount of your computer's processing and memory resources. To free some resources, try to specify a different profile in the Audio and Video category in the Options dialog box. Under Video, in the Profile list, click a profile with a lower kilobits-per-second (Kbps) rate. The resulting video will be displayed in a smaller window and be of lesser quality.
I deleted audio or video files, but they still seem to be included on my page.
You can also delete all the audio or video notes on a page by clicking Delete Recording on the Audio and Video Recording toolbar. The descriptive text that identifies the location of the audio and video recordings is not deleted.
