Copy information from a Web page to your notes

If you use Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office OneNote 2007 on the same computer, you can use the Send to OneNote button to quickly copy some or all of the information on a Web page to your notes.

Note   Many Web pages contain complex formatting and style information. If the Web content that you want loses formatting when you copy it to OneNote, try capturing the content as a screen clipping. For more information, see Use screen clippings to capture information quickly.

Copy an entire Web page to your notes

  1. In Internet Explorer, open the page that you want to copy to your notes.
  2. On the Internet Explorer command bar, click Send to OneNote Button image.

Tip   If the Send to OneNote button is not visible, click Tools on the Internet Explorer command bar, and then click Send to OneNote.

In OneNote, the copied page is placed in the Unfiled Notes section. You can move this page to any new or existing section in any of your open notebooks. For more information, see Find and organize Unfiled Notes.
