When you cancel your Microsoft Office Live Small Business account, all of your account data, including documents, graphics, and other files used on your Web site, are deleted. Make you sure you save your data before canceling your account. For more information, see Take your data with you.
While your account is active, your domain uses Office Live Small Business name servers to give your domain a public-facing presence on the Internet. When you cancel your account, your domain no longer uses these servers. To confirm your cancellation, Office Live Small Business sends a message to the e-mail address that you specify during the cancellation process.
What do you want to do?
Canceling an account versus removing a domain
Canceling an Office Live Small Business account is different from removing a domain from your Office Live Small Business account.
When you remove a domain name from Office Live Small Business, you break the relationship between your domain name and Office Live Small Business. Your account with Office Live Small Business remains intact, and your domain name remains active, although it is managed by a domain registrar other than Office Live Small Business. For more information, see Remove a custom domain name registered with Office Live Small Business.
In contrast, when you cancel your Office Live Small Business account, you not only end the use of your domain on Office Live Small Business servers, but you also erase
everything associated with the account, including e-mail addresses, e-mail messages, and the Web
site you created.
