Take control of your inbox: The benefits of Outlook connectivity

You can access all of your Microsoft Office Live Small Business e-mail information through Microsoft Office Outlook.* Using Office Outlook connectivity, you can manage your e-mail, contacts, calendars, and tasks even when you are not connected to the Internet.

The Outlook Connectivity feature also enables you to do the following:

  • Stay organized and efficient. Using Microsoft Office Outlook, you can access, send, and receive e-mail messages from multiple Microsoft Office Live Small Business e-mail accounts, as well as manage different calendars and sets of contacts all from within Outlook. The powerful Outlook organization features make it easy to search and organize messages across accounts by grouping them by date, size, conversation, subject, importance or other criteria. You can also schedule meetings, keep track of your calendar, or share calendars with other Office Live Small Business subscribers by viewing them side-by-side on a single screen.
  • Get in sync. When you make updates using Outlook—such as deleting messages and adding a new contact to scheduling a meeting or creating a new task—your changes are automatically synchronized and reflected in your Office Live Small Business e-mail account. Even changes entered or e-mail messages composed while you are working offline are captured and completed when you reconnect to the internet, so you never have to worry about staying up to date.
  • Be more protected. With Outlook Live, customers are more protected with automatically updated e-mail antivirus software, which scans for and helps eliminate harmful viruses before they reach the computer. In addition, improved and regularly updated junk e-mail filters in Outlook and Office Live Small Business e-mail help reduce unwanted spam e-mail. Customers even can set up automatic blocking of up to 500 addresses or domains.
  • Get started easily. Customers can install the Outlook Connector and start using Outlook Live with their Office Live Small Business e-mail account in less than 15 minutes. Sign in and get step-by-step instructions in "Use e-mail to manage and grow your business."

* To access Microsoft Office Live Small Business e-mail account information in Outlook, you must have Microsoft Office Outlook  2002 (XP) or later and Microsoft Office Outlook Connector.
