Change your organization's address, technical contact email, and other information

After you’ve set up your Office 365 subscription, you may need to change the information you entered about your organization. On your organization’s profile page, you can change your organization’s address, name, technical contact, default domain name, or the default language you want sites and communications to use.

Note    Only global admins can change the information on the organization’s profile page for Office 365 Enterprise and Office 365 Midsize Business. All admins can change this information for Office 365 Small Business.

To change information on your organization’s profile page

  1. On the Office 365 Admin page, in the upper-right corner, click your organization’s name. For Office 365 Small Business, your organization’s name is beneath the blue Getting Started pane.
  2. Change the information you want to update, and then click Save.

You can’t change billing information and admin or users’ personal information on the organization’s profile page, but you can change these settings elsewhere. For details, see Info you can’t change on the profile page.

Profile page information

Info Details
Country or region

Important    You can’t change your country or region after signup.

When you chose your organization’s country or region when you signed up for Office 365, this choice determined which services were available to you, the taxes and billing currency for your country or region, and the location of the data center closest to you. For details on what services are available to each country, see Microsoft Office license restrictions.

If you chose the wrong country or region during signup, you will need to cancel your subscription and sign up with another profile. For help with this process, call billing and subscription support.

Default domain For more information, see Change your default domain.

Language preference

(for your organization)

The Language preference setting determines the language for all communications that are sent from Microsoft to your organization. When you sign up, this setting determines the language used by SharePoint Online, which your users see on your team site. If you change the language preference setting after you sign up, all future communications are sent in the most recent language selected.

Note    The language used by SharePoint Online can’t be changed.

Organization name and address

When you change your Organization name on the profile page, your users see the new name on the following pages:

  • Sign-in page: If your users have set up other Microsoft accounts with their business or school email address, they may see the organization name on the sign-in page. This helps them distinguish between their organizational account and their other accounts, so they can identify which one to use when they sign in.
  • Organization profile link and page: The link to your organization’s profile displays the organization name.
Technical contact email address You use the technical contact email address for communications about Office 365 service status.

Info you can’t change on the profile page

  • Billing information
You can’t change your billing address or credit card information on your organization’s profile page. To change these, see:
