When you follow documents that interest you and update your profile to add subjects to your Ask Me About list, you’ll start to see automated suggestions for other documents and files to follow in your OneDrive for Business library. Suggestions may be for documents that your colleagues or large numbers of people in your organization are already following.
Note The capabilities described here depend on whether your organization has set up and customized personal sites and profiles. See your SharePoint site administrator for details.
To see suggestions for documents and other files that you might want to follow:
- In the header at the top of a SharePoint or Office 365 site, do either of the following:
- Click OneDrive, and then click Followed Documents in the Quick Launch on the left.
- Click Newsfeed, and then, under I’m following, click the number for documents.
The Docs I’m following page appears, with a list of suggested documents of interest displayed on the right.
Note If no recommendations appear, and you want to generate suggestions, try following more documents and tags, and update your Ask Me About topics, which can help inform suggestions.
- To follow a suggested document or other file, under Suggested documents to follow, click Follow below the document listing.
The followed document now appears in your Docs I’m following list.
