Let's create 'Series' data

In Excel, you can enter sequential numbers, dates, and times automatically.

By reading this article, you will learn the basics of how to enter a data series. This article consists of the following three pages.

  1. Let's create 'Series' data (this page)
  2. Let's use the Auto Fill option
  3. Let's enter the date and day of the week

When you click a cell in the worksheet to select it, a small black square appears in the right lower corner of the selected cell. This square is called the "fill handle".

Fill Handle

Using the fill handle, you can enter a data series and quickly copy data. When you align the cursor with the fill handle, the cursor changes to a black cross (cursor).

Open the workbook you saved in the previous "Let's create a table" and let's create a data series.
