The xlsgen style reduction tool helps work with richly formatted Excel workbooks that, because of a known limit of around 4000 formatting styles, stop being editable. Two solutions are provided : 1) the removal of all duplicate formatting styles, 2) and a more drastic, controllable, compression of similar styles. Bulk processing allowed. Free trial version.
