Save a form you've filled out as a Web page

When filling out a form, the Export to Web feature lets you save your form as a Single File Web Page (MHTML) (Single File Web Page (MHTML): An HTML document saved in MHTML format, which integrates inline graphics, applets, linked documents, and other supporting items referenced in the document.). This format allows other users to view your form in a Web browser, but it does not allow them to edit the data in the form.

Note  If you are designing a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 form, you cannot export and save the form as a Web form. Users must use InfoPath to fill out an InfoPath form.

  1. Open the form you want to save as a Web page.
  2. If there are multiple views of the form, switch to the view you want to save.
  3. On the File menu, point to Export To, and then click Web.

Note  The Export To command is unavailable when designing or previewing a form.

  4. In the Export to Web dialog box, select the location where you want to save the form.
  5. In the File name box, type a name for the form, and then click Export.
  6. Repeat the previous steps for each view of the form you want to save as a Web page.
