"We’re sorry… (0x80070005)” error when try to activate Office 2013

If you get this error when you try to activate Office, please run Office as an Administrator to complete the activation.

"We're sorry, something went wrong and we can't do this for you right now. Please try again later. (0x80070005)"

Windows 8

  1. Close all Office programs, and go to the Windows Start screen.
  2. Right-click any Office program icon, like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and click Run as administrator.
