Apply highlighting to text

Do the following in these 2007 Microsoft Office system programs:

  1. Select the text that you want to format.
  2. On the Formatting toolbar, click HighlightButton image.

 Tip   To change the highlight color, click the arrow next to the Highlight button, and then click the color you want.

  1. In a Microsoft Office Outlook item, select the text that you want to highlight.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Basic Text group, click Text Highlight Color.

Remove highlighting from text

  1. Select the text from which you want to remove highlighting.
  2. On the Formatting toolbar, click the arrow next to the Highlight button, and then click the color that matches the form's background.

  1. Select the text from which you want to remove highlighting.
  2. On the Formatting toolbar, click the arrow next to the Highlight button, and then click None.
