For the best experience when you view Office 365 Help, sign in to either the Office 365 portal or the Office 365 Community with your Office 365 user ID. After you sign in to the community, if you post questions to the forums, you can use the tags pre-upgrade or after upgrade if you need to.
If signing in isn’t an option, here’s how to tell whether you’re using Office 365 after the service upgrade or Office 365 pre-upgrade: the different colors, navigation, and URLs for Help content.
Office 365 after the service upgrade
You’ll know you have Office 365 after the service upgrade if the header at the top of the page is blue and includes the navigation terms Outlook, Calendar, and People. If you’re an admin, you have an Admin link that takes you straight to the administrator tools.
The easiest way to make sure you find Help articles for Office 365 after the service upgrade is to click the Help icon or any Help link from within the Office 365 portal. The portal knows if you have the service upgrade and directs you to the correct Help.
When you use a general web search to find Help, you’ll know you’re looking at Help for Office 365 after the service upgrade if the URL starts with http://office.microsoft.com. In addition, the bar at the top of the page is gray, it has the Office logo, and the article title is gray.
Office 365 pre-upgrade
You’ll know you have Office 365 pre-upgrade if the header at the top of the page is white and includes the navigation terms Home, Outlook, and Team Site. Additionally, the page titles are orange.
