Double-space the lines in a document
 

You can double-space all or part of a document. Changes that you make to the spacing are saved when you save the document, but you can make additional changes at any time.

 Note   The default document spacing for any blank document is 1.15.

What do you want to do?


Double-space the entire document

  1. On the Home tab, in the Styles group, right-click Normal, and then click Modify.

  2. Under Formatting, click Double Space.

    Formatting for the entire document changes to double spacing.

Double-space the selected text

  1. Select the text that you want to change.
  2. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Line Spacing.

  3. Click 2.0.
