Open Chat in an online meeting

Applies to: Microsoft Office Access 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Word 2003

Only the host of the online meeting can open Chat (Chat: A Microsoft NetMeeting feature that opens a separate window in which online meeting participants can type and send text messages to each other.) when Microsoft Windows NetMeeting is used from within Microsoft Office.

On the Online Meeting toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), click Display Chat Window .

If you want to prevent participants from changing a shared document but still allow them to send messages to each other in Chat, on the Online Meeting toolbar, click Stop others from editing Button image .
