Recolor a picture from the Clip Organizer

When you insert a Microsoft Windows Metafile (Windows Metafile Format (WMF): A vector graphics format for Windows-compatible computers used mostly as a clip art format in word-processing documents.) from the Clip Organizer, you can change the colors in the picture (for example, to match the color scheme of your presentation). If the picture is a bitmap (bitmap: A picture made from a series of small dots, much like a piece of graph paper with certain squares filled in to form shapes and lines. When stored as files, bitmaps usually have the extension .bmp.), .jpg, .gif, or .png file, you need to edit its colors in an image editing program.

  1. Select the picture you want to modify.
  2. On the Picture toolbar, click Recolor Picture Button image.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click Colors to change any color in the picture.

    • Click Fills to change only background or fill colors in the picture.

  4. Select the check box for each color you want to change. To choose a different color, click the arrow next to the new color to see more colors.
