Remove bullets or numbering

  1. Select the text from which you want bullets (bullet: A dot or other symbol that is placed before text, such as items in a list, to add emphasis.) or numbering removed.
  2. On the Formatting toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), click Bullets Button image or Numbering Button image.

Microsoft Word automatically adjusts the number sequence of a numbered list.

Note  To remove a single bullet or number, click the bullet or number, and then press BACKSPACE.
