Use this process to modify Microsoft PowerPoint tables. Use the source program's (source file: The file that contains information that was used to create a linked or embedded object. When you update the information in the source file, you can also update the linked object in the destination file.) Help for information about modifying tables that were created with another program.
Do one of the following:
Align text in the top, middle, or bottom of a cell
- If the Tables and Borders
toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.) is not displayed, click Tables and Borders
on the Standard toolbar.
- Select the cells you want to change.

Click Align Top
, Center Vertically
, or Align Bottom
.
Align text on the right or left, or in the center of a cell
- Select the cells you want to change.
- On the Format menu, point to Alignment, then click Align Left, Center, Align Right, or Justify.
Change cell margins
- Select the cells you want to change.
- On the Format menu, click Table, and then click the Text Box tab.

Insert a tab in a table cell
