Preview animations

Applies to: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

On the Slide Show menu, click Custom Animation, and do one or more of the following:

To preview animations for a slide, display the slide you want to preview, and then click the Play button in the Custom Animation task pane (task pane: A window within an Office application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.).
Note This will show triggered (animation trigger: An animation option that can be set so that the animation plays when a specified item is clicked.) animations automatically; you do not have to click the item to see it animate.
To preview all animations, including triggered animations, click in the Custom Animation task pane.

Note This will show triggered animations when you click the specified item.

Show Tip

By default, a preview of all animated effects on a slide is shown when you apply an animation to an item. To turn this feature off, clear the AutoPreview check box in the Custom Animation task pane.
