Use drag-and-drop text editing
 

The drag-and-drop editing setting allows you to drag text to move or copy it within a presentation or from Microsoft PowerPoint to another Microsoft Office program.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Edit tab.
  2. Select the Drag-and-drop text editing check box.
