Show or hide spelling errors

When you hide spelling errors, Microsoft PowerPoint still checks spelling as you type, but the wavy, red underlines used to mark words that aren't in the PowerPoint dictionary don't appear.

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Spelling and Style tab.
  2. Select or clear the Hide all spelling errors check box to hide or show spelling errors.

ShowTip

To turn off automatic spelling checks, on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Spelling and Style tab, and then clear the Check spelling as you type check box.
