Set paragraph indentations

  1. If the ruler isn't displayed, click Ruler on the View menu.
  2. On the slide, click the text whose indent you want to change.

The indent markers appear on the horizontal ruler.

  3. Do one of the following:

    ShowCallout 1 First-line indent

This shows the position of the first paragraph line or a character such as a bullet in a list.

    ShowCallout 2 Left indent marker

This shows the position of the second paragraph line or text next to a bullet or number.

Note  If the text contains bulleted or numbered items at two or more levels, the ruler displays indent markers for each level, showing the bullet or number position and text position at each level.

ShowTip

To change indents for the entire presentation, change indents on the slide master (slide master: The slide that stores information about the design template applied, including font styles, placeholder sizes and positions, background design, and color schemes.). To display the slide master, on the View menu, point to Master, and then click Slide Master.
