Prevent chart colors from changing when you change the color scheme
 

Use this procedure after you have set the colors in your chart, and you don't want a chart to change colors to match the color scheme (color scheme: A set of eight balanced colors that you can apply to slides, notes pages, or audience handouts. A color scheme consists of a background color, a color for lines and text, and six other colors selected to make slides easy to read.) of the presentation.

  1. Select the chart you want to preserve colors for.
  2. On the Format menu, click Object.
  3. On the Picture tab, click Recolor.
  4. Do one of the following:
