Delete an AutoCorrect entry

Do one of the following:

  1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoCorrect tab.
  2. In the list of entries, click the row with the entry you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

Note  Right after you click the Delete button, the entry still shows in the Replace box, but it is deleted from the Replace list.

ShowTip

You can also delete an AutoCorrect entry using the menu displayed by the AutoCorrect Options button Button image, which appears when you rest the mouse pointer near text that was just corrected. On the menu, click Stop Automatically Correcting for the type of automatic correction that you don't want anymore. This deletes the entry in the AutoCorrect dialog box.
