Lines in organization charts or other pictures
When you're working with an organization chart you created using AutoShapes you added from the Drawing toolbar, you can right-click each individual connector and then click Format AutoShape to change line styles such as color and width.
Note If you want to move or format a connector line in an organization chart or other diagram that you created by clicking Diagram on the Insert menu, but you can't, try turning off the AutoLayout feature. On the Organization Chart toolbar, click Layout, and then click AutoLayout to deselect the option.

Individual AutoShape lines
When you are working with one or more individual AutoShape connectors that you've created using the tools on the Drawing toolbar, you can select each connector in turn to work with it.
- Select the line or connector you want to change.
- Do one of the following:
Change the color of a line or connector
- On the Drawing
toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.), click the arrow next to Line Color
.
- Do one of the following:
- To change to the default color, click Automatic.

To change to another color, click one of the colors below Automatic.

To change to a color that isn't displayed, click More Line Colors. Click the color you want on the Standard tab, or click the Custom tab to mix your own color, and then click OK.
Change the style of a line or connector
- On the Drawing
toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, press ALT and then SHIFT+F10.), click Line Style
.
- Click the style you want; or click More Lines, and then click a style.
