Use the color scheme of another slide or presentation

  1. Open both presentations, and then, on the Window menu, click Arrange All.
  2. In both presentations, display the Slides tab in normal view.
  3. Select the slide that has the color scheme (color scheme: A set of eight balanced colors that you can apply to slides, notes pages, or audience handouts. A color scheme consists of a background color, a color for lines and text, and six other colors selected to make slides easy to read.) you want to use.
  4. Do one of the following:

    ShowRecolor one slide

    • Click Format Painter Button image, click in the window of the second presentation, and then click the slide you want to apply the scheme to.

    ShowRecolor multiple slides

    1. Double-click Format Painter Button image, click in the window of the second presentation, and then click each slide you want to apply the color scheme to.

If you want to apply the scheme to slides in a row, press SHIFT, and then click the first and last slide in the range.

    2. Press ESC when finished to cancel Format Painter.

Note  When you copy a slide's color scheme to another presentation, the color scheme becomes available in the Slide Design-Color Schemes task pane (task pane: A window within an Office application that provides commonly used commands. Its location and small size allow you to use these commands while still working on your files.) in the destination presentation.
