Add, change, or remove the 3-D effect from a shape

  1. Select the AutoShape (AutoShapes: A group of ready-made shapes that includes basic shapes, such as rectangles and circles, plus a variety of lines and connectors, block arrows, flowchart symbols, stars and banners, and callouts.) you want to change.
  2. On the Drawing toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), click 3-D Style Button image, and do one of the following:
    • To add a 3-D effect, click the option you want.

    • To change a 3-D effect— for example, its color, rotation, depth, lighting, or surface texture, click 3-D Settings, and then click the options you want on the 3-D Settings toolbar.

    • To remove the effect, click No 3-D.

ShowTip

To add the same 3-D effect to several objects at one time— the same lighting, for example— select or group the objects before you add the effect.
