Stop a macro

Applies to: Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003

Do one of the following:

If you want to stop a macro (macro: An action or a set of actions you can use to automate tasks. Macros are recorded in the Visual Basic for Applications programming language.) that's currently running, press ESC, and click End in Microsoft Visual Basic Editor (Microsoft Visual Basic Editor: An environment in which you can edit macros that you've recorded and write new macros and Visual Basic for Applications programs.).
If you want to prevent automatically running a macro when you start Microsoft PowerPoint, hold down SHIFT during startup.
