1. On the Tools menu, click Add-Ins.

2. Do one of the following:
   • To remove an add-in (add-in: A supplemental program that adds custom commands or custom features to Microsoft Office.) from memory but keep its name in the list, select the add-in and then click Unload.

   • To remove an add-in from the list and also from the registered list of add-ins in the registry file, select its name and then click Remove.

1. Add the COM Add-Ins command to the Tools menu.

   How?

   1. On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Commands tab.
   2. In the Categories box, click Tools.
   3. Drag COM Add-Ins from the Commands box to the Tools menu. When the menu commands are displayed, point to the location where you want the COM Add-Ins command to appear on the menu, and then release the mouse button.
   4. Click Close.

2. On the Tools menu, click COM Add-Ins.

3. Do one of the following:

   • To remove an add-in (add-in: A supplemental program that adds custom commands or custom features to Microsoft Office.) from memory but keep its name in the list, clear the check box next to the add-in name.

   • To remove an add-in from the list and also from the registered list of add-ins in the registry file, select its name, and then click Remove.

Note  Component Object Model (COM) add-ins (COM add-in: A supplemental program that extends the capabilities of a Microsoft Office program by adding custom commands and specialized features. COM add-ins can run in one or more Office programs. COM add-ins use the file name extension .dll or .exe.) are typically used by developers.
