Add a diagram
 
  1. On the Drawing toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar, click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.), click Diagram or Organizational Chart Cycle Diagram .
  2. Click one of the following diagram types:
  3. Click OK.
  4. Do one or more of the following:
    • If you want to add text to an element in the diagram, right-click the element, click Edit Text, and then type the text.

      For cycle and target diagrams, you can only add text to the text placeholders that appear when you insert the diagram or diagram element.

    • If you want to add an element, click Insert Shape on the Diagram toolbar.
    • If you want to add a preset design scheme, click AutoFormat Button image on the Diagram toolbar, and select a style from the Diagram Style Gallery.
  5. Click outside the drawing when you are finished.
