Add a picture or object to notes

  1. On the View menu, click Notes Page.

Note  You can't draw or place pictures in the notes pane (notes pane: The pane in normal view in which you type notes that you want to accompany a slide. You print these notes as notes pages or have them display when you save a presentation as a Web page.) in normal view.

  2. Add the picture (picture: A file (such as a metafile) that you can ungroup and manipulate as two or more objects, or a file that stays as a single object (such as bitmaps).) or object (object: A table, chart, graphic, equation, or other form of information. Objects created in one application, for example spreadsheets, and linked or embedded in another application are OLE objects.). If you are adding a drawing object (drawing object: Any graphic you draw or insert, which can be changed and enhanced. Drawing objects include AutoShapes, curves, lines, and WordArt.), first click the slide area to select it or click the notes area to activate the placeholder (placeholders: Boxes with dotted or hatch-marked borders that are part of most slide layouts. These boxes hold title and body text or objects such as charts, tables, and pictures.).
  3. To return to normal view from notes page (notes pages: Printed pages that display author notes beneath the slide that the notes accompany.) view, click Normal View Button image at the lower left of the Microsoft PowerPoint window.

Note  You won't see your picture in the notes pane, but you can see it in notes page view, print preview, and the printed notes. To see the picture in print preview, on the Standard toolbar, click Print Preview Button image , click the arrow next to the Print What box, and then click Notes Pages.
