Delete a file in a document library
 

 Note   To complete the following steps, you must be a member of a site group with the Delete Items right. All default site groups except the Reader and Member site groups include this right.

  1. In any Microsoft Office 2003 program, click File, and then click Open.
  2. In the Filename field, type in the URL of the server with the file you want to delete, and then click Open. You can enter an Internet address (such as www.example.com) or an intranet address (such as http://example).
  3. Double-click the document library (document library: A folder where a collection of files is shared and the files often use the same template. Each file in a library is associated with user-defined information that is displayed in the content listing for that library.) that contains the file you want to delete.
  4. Click the file you want to delete, and then click Delete Button image .
