Make exceptions to AutoCorrect entries
 
  1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the AutoCorrect tab.
  2. Click Exceptions.
  3. Do one of the following:

    ShowMake an exception to capitalizing the first letter of a word

    1. On the First Letter tab, under Don't capitalize after, type the word or abbreviation that you don't want followed by a capital letter.
    2. Click Add.

    ShowMake an exception to correcting two initial capitals

    1. On the INitial CAps tab, under Don't correct, type the word or phrase that you don't want AutoCorrect to fix.
    2. Click Add.

ShowTip

To delete an exception you have created, select an entry in the AutoCorrect Exceptions dialog box, and then click Delete.
