Change Password in Business Contact Manager

When you are granted access to a remote Business Contact Manager database, you must use a password to log on. If the database is on a computer that is part of a domain, you can use your network password, but if it is not, you should be given a password by the database owner or the computer administrator.

The first time you connect to the shared Business Contact Manager database, you are prompted to enter the remote password that the database owner created for you. You must change the remote password to match your local password.

Note   Your local password is not given to the database owner.

Temporary or remote password   Type the password given to you by the administrator. The password cannot be blank.

Local password   Type the password you use to log on to your local computer.

Confirm local password   Retype the password that you use to log on to your local computer.

When you click OK, your remote password is changed to match the password you use to log on to your computer. The next time you connect to the shared database, you are not prompted to supply a password unless the remote password and your local passwords do not match.
