Scan a picture

You cannot scan pictures from Picture Manager, although you can use Picture Manager to work with scanned images.

Scanning in Windows XP

In Microsoft Windows XP, you can use Microsoft Office Document Imaging to scan pictures. On the Start menu, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office Tools, and then point to Microsoft Office Document Scanning.

Scanning in Windows Vista

In Windows Vista, click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Photo Gallery. Click File, and then click Import from Camera or Scanner.

Note   Some scanners can save scanned images as Microsoft Office Word files, JPG files or other familiar formats. When the scan is complete, you can work with the file on your computer using Picture Manager.
