Forward a fax

When you receive a fax in your Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Inbox, there's a good chance you will want to forward it to another fax recipient. You can do this a number of ways, the best of which is by using Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) program.

  1. Right-click the .TIF (image) file that is attached to the fax you received in Outlook, and click Open. The fax will display in MODI.
  2. In MODI, make any changes to the fax you want such as removing the cover sheet or adding annotations with a Pen.
  3. On the File menu, point to Send To, and then click Recipient using Internet Fax Service.
  4. Complete the Fax Recipient, Fax Number, and Subject fields.
  5. In the Fax Service pane, choose the options you want, and then complete the cover sheet located in the body of the e-mail message.
  6. Click Send.

Notes

  • If you are forwarding your fax to a fax machine serving more than one recipient, use a cover sheet and complete the To field to ensure you reach the intended recipient. Keep in mind that your fax may already have a cover sheet included with the fax you're forwarding.
  • You can also forward a fax by entering the fax address directly in the To line of a WordMail message. The format of the fax address is faxnumber@faxproviderdomain.
