Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager is very similar to using Microsoft Outlook. Business Contact Manager operates within the Outlook window, so tools and menu commands are similar and easy to locate.

When you install Business Contact Manager, a Business Contact Manager folder is automatically set up for you. The Business Contact Manager folder will contain subfolders for your Account (Where information about the account is stored, including information that is entered on the Account form, linked records, and history items.), Business Contact (Where information about the business contact is stored, including information that is entered on the Business Contact form, linked records, and history items.), and Opportunity records (Where information about the opportunity is stored, including information that is entered on the Opportunity form, linked records, and history items.).

ShowI can't see the Navigation Pane.

To view the Navigation Pane (The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.), click View on the Standard toolbar (A toolbar that performs some of the most common tasks in a Microsoft Office application, such as opening, saving, and printing files.), and then click Navigation Pane.

ShowWhat types of online tasks can I perform with Business Contact Manager?

Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager tracks e-mail messages sent to and received from Account (Where information about the account is stored, including information that is entered on the Account form, linked records, and history items.) and Business Contact records (Where information about the business contact is stored, including information that is entered on the Business Contact form, linked records, and history items.). You can also access a variety of online business tools on the Microsoft bCentral site. To connect to bCentral, click Business Services on the Business Tools menu.
