Remove smart tags
 

Smart tags (smart tags: Data recognized and labeled as a particular type. For example, a person's name or the name of a recent Microsoft Outlook e-mail message recipient is a type of data that can be recognized and labeled with a smart tag.) can be either deleted or turned off in your presentations.

ShowRemove a single smart tag from text

  1. Move the insertion point over the text until the Smart Tag Actions button Smart Tag Actions appears.
  2. Click the button, and then click Remove this Smart Tag.

Note  Microsoft PowerPoint will continue to mark smart tags when you add or edit text in the presentation.

ShowRemove specific types of smart tags

Removes the smart tags that you specify, but leaves the feature turned on.
  1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the Smart Tags tab.
  2. Under Recognizers, clear the check boxes for the smart tags you want to remove.
  3. To update your view, click Check Presentation.

ShowTurn off all smart tags

  1. On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click the Smart Tags tab.

  2. Clear the Label text with smart tags check box.

  3. To update your view, click Check Presentation.
