Watch this: Use AutoText to insert automatically generated text into your Word 2007 documents

Although AutoText does not work like it used to in previous versions of Word, AutoText can be used to automatically insert document properties, such as the name of the company or author of a document. When used, this information will be automatically updated when the document properties are updated. Watch the following video to see how you can use AutoText to do this in Word 2007, and how AutoText has changed from previous versions.

Watch this Demo button Demo: Quick Parts menu in Word 2007

Note   AutoText does not work like it did in previous versions of Word, and some of the features that used to be available are not included in Word 2007.

For text versions of this procedure, see Create and distribute boilerplate text and What has changed for the AutoText feature?.
