This document lists issues that have been resolved in Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005.
Add-in Toolbar in Microsoft Office Outlook
Issue: After installing the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in for Microsoft Outlook® while running the Microsoft Office Outlook® 2007 messaging and collaboration client on the Windows Vista™ operating system, the Add-in toolbar does not appear, nor is it listed in the Disabled Add-in list in the Microsoft Office Outlook® 2007 messaging and collaboration client.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Invitation Crashes
Issue: When using the Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in for Microsoft Outlook® to compose a Live Meeting invitation in the Microsoft Office Outlook® 2007 messaging and collaboration client, clicking Remove From Service on the Add-ins tab causes Outlook to crash.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Add-in Support for Microsoft Office 2007
Issue: Microsoft® Office 2007 applications do not support add-ins for Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
GAL Name Resolution
Issue: When a meeting organizer uses the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in for Microsoft Outlook® to compose a Live Meeting invitation and resolves invitee names using the global address list (GAL) for their organization (instead of typing the full SMTP address), the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting service in some organizations fails to deliver the invitations, and a failure notice is sent to the organizer.
Additionally, the Live Meeting service delivers a message to the organizer containing a non-delivery report (NDR) indicating that the message is "sent on behalf of" a specific person, but the name is incorrect.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0). Previously, the Live Meeting 2005 Add-in for Microsoft Outlook used the first available GAL entry for a user's name resolution, which was not always an SMTP address. With this release, the add-in takes the user's primary SMTP address and uses that string to send the Live Meeting invitation.
Microsoft Exchange Server Synchronization
Issue: Synchronization between Live Meeting and Microsoft® Exchange Server was resulting in too many remote procedure calls to the Exchange Server.
Additionally, Live Meeting 2005 does not cache the posting URL for XML API calls.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Add-ins Performance
Issue: After installing the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in Pack on users' computers, some Live Meeting service administrators have experienced a substantial increase in remote procedure call (RPC) cycles on Microsoft® Exchange Server, disrupting performance overall.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Unicode Characters in Invitation Fields
Issue: When a meeting organizer using the Microsoft® Live Meeting 2005 Add-in for Microsoft Office Outlook® includes Unicode characters in either the meeting location or subject fields of a Live Meeting invitation, an API fault occurs.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Add-in Pack Version Number
Issue: After installing the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in Pack version 7.5.2621.0, the software still identifies itself by an earlier version number when the user clicks Help > About.
Resolution: This problem is resolved in this release of the Live Meeting Add-in Pack (version: 7.5.3819.0).
Add-in Pack Installation with Turkish Language Pack
Issue: During the installation of the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in Pack on computers running Windows and Office Language Packs for Turkish, the installer generates an error.
Resolution: To avoid this error message, in Outlook, under Regional and Language Options, set Standards and Formats to English prior to installing the Microsoft® Office Live Meeting 2005 Add-in Pack. When installation is complete, change the language setting back to Turkish as needed.
