Microsoft Office Project Web Access

Microsoft Office Project Web Access (PWA) is the thin web client for Microsoft Office Project Server 2007.

You can use Office Project Web Access to view, analyze, and report on information as well as create project proposals and activity plans. Depending on a user’s role, Office Project Web Access can expose different capabilities and data types. Office Project Web Access includes a server settings user interface for administrators to manage this security and other server functions. Office Project Web Access is acquired as the Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 client access license (CAL).

Office Project Web Access is a special case of the CAL. In general, connectivity to Office Project Server 2007 from any custom portal or other front-end requires that users purchase CALs. To connect to Office Project Server 2007, Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 includes a CAL that can also be used to open Office Project Web Access in Windows Internet Explorer. For more information on CALs please refer to the licensing Web site for the Product Use Rights agreement and the multiplex brief for a full explanation of when CALs are required.

To learn more about how Office Project Web Access connects to Office Project Server 2007, please refer to the Microsoft Office EPM Solution guide.
