To display your personal or business photographs, you can create a PowerPoint photo album and you can add attention-grabbing slide transitions, colorful backgrounds and themes, specific layouts, and other effects to your photo album.
Important The From Scanner or Camera option for adding pictures to a presentation or photo album is not available in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007. For more information, see What happened to the From Scanner or Camera option for adding pictures to a presentation?
- On the Insert
tab, in the Illustrations group, click the arrow under
Photo Album, and then do one of the following:
- In the Photo Album dialog box, under Insert picture from, click File/Disk.
- In the Insert New Pictures dialog box, locate and click the picture that you want to add, and then click Insert.

To preview a picture file in your photo album, in the Photo Album dialog box, in the
Pictures in album list, select a picture name, and then view the picture in the Preview window.

To change the order in which the pictures are displayed, in the Photo Album dialog box, in the
Pictures in album list, select a picture name, and then click the arrow buttons to move it up or down within the list.
- In the Photo Album dialog box, do one of the following:
- To add a picture to a new photo album, click Create.
- To add a picture to an existing photo album, click Update.
