I get a "too many fonts" message when I try to print from PowerPoint

Applies to
Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2003

Symptoms

When you try to print from PowerPoint, you receive a message that there are too many fonts in your presentation.

Cause

You might be using too many fonts for the amount of available memory. Or you might be using fonts that are installed on your computer, but not on your printer.

Resolution

Do any of the following:

  • Reduce the number of fonts in your presentation, and then try again to print.
  • Consult your printer documentation for information about the printer's memory, the number of fonts that the printer can support, and how to download fonts to the printer, and then make adjustments accordingly.

Tip   You can find more information about printing at the Microsoft Windows Help and Support Center. (On the Windows Start menu, click Help and Support.)
