Symptoms
When you add a picture to your slide master, you may find that the picture doesn't show up on some of your slides.
Resolution
- You may need to add the picture to additional masters. If you are using multiple design templates (design template: A file that contains the styles in a presentation, including the type and size of bullets and fonts; placeholder sizes and positions; background design and fill color schemes; and a slide master and optional title master.), your presentation will contain a slide master (slide master: The main slide that stores information about the theme and layouts of a presentation, including the background, color, fonts, effects, placeholder sizes, and positions.) for each template. The changes that you make to a master affect only the slides that follow that master. If you want the picture to appear throughout your presentation, you need to add it to each master.
Remember also that if you want the picture to appear on title slides, you must add it to the title master (title master: The slide that stores information from the design template pertaining to styles on title slides, including placeholder sizes and positions, background design, and color schemes.).
- Check to make sure that the Omit background graphics from master
check box is not selected:
- Display a slide that is not showing the expected graphic.
- On the Format menu, click Background.
- Make sure that the Omit background graphics from master check box is cleared.
